Test & Pool Car Management
This project was for CriticalTechworks to manage vehicle bookings.
CTW employees want to be able to reserve a vehicle for testing or leisure purposes. However, they are struggling to find out if the specific vehicle they need, which has certain functionalities for testing or leisure, is available. The challenge here is to provide accurate information about each vehicle and create a tool that allows users to see if a vehicle is available and book it for their intended purpose. It's important to note that vehicles are prioritized for work purposes over leisure purposes.
Discovery Process
I initiated the project by meeting with stakeholders to discuss the business goals and the purpose of the tool. The problem statement revolved around how to streamline the process of booking a car, as some vehicles are used for leisure purposes while others are used for testing. The system needed to verify the type of driving license the user has. Test cars could only be booked by specific users with permission and a BMW driving license.
My role
I was in charge of leading a UX project from start to finish. I conducted user interviews, user research, created navigational flows, user journey maps, wireframes, prototypes, and conducted usability testing. I also created assets and deliverables using Sketch and Invision, and ensured that the project was responsive and web-based. Additionally, I developed a design system for this project.
I worked with Scrum and guided the development team in implementing the project. I also organized the Jira tickets to help our Product Owner plan the project roadmap effectively.
Final deliverables
Once the navigational flows were established and all technical feasibility was checked with the development team, the first MVP for this product was created. The development proceeded in two-week sprints. Below are examples of the final UX deliverables.
